Let me introduce you to my very first creation – the O Clone earrings. In my teenage years, I fell in love with a Brazilian TV show called The Clone (O Clone in Portuguese). It was the story of a Muslim girl, Jade, who grew up in Brazil and who had to move to Morocco shortly following her mother’s death. It was a difficult transition for her since she was not accustomed to Islam and Muslim culture in general. There were obviously numerous interesting plot lines, but I still remember Jade’s favorite necklace, the one she was always wearing because it brought her peace and serenity. The stone in question was green jade (if my memory serves me right, Jade’s mother called her Jade in honor of the stone’s ). So, naturally, when I saw this particular jade, it brought back all the memories from my teenage years, and I immediately thought of Jade, the rebel-girl who had to find her place in a World where she felt she didn’t belong. This TV show taught me a lot about Muslim customs and traditions in general, and if that’s something you are interested in, go ahead and watch it! It is apparently quite accurate in its depictions of the culture of customs of this part of the world, especially Morocco. If you don’t feel like spending time in front of TV, you can just wear these green jade earrings and feel like a real Jade. Sort of.
